Things we feel strongly about​.
Nerio Firearms Training was born out of a desire to teach firearms classes to, especially, beginners in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Too often classes are taught by military type instructors who like to intimidate and cower, rather than teach and encourage. While we take range and gun safety serious and are not above a loudly shouted command, we like to encourage you to ask questions and feel free to express yourself.

Our goal is to teach you how to use your firearm responsibly, with the respect due to its possibly dangerous sides. Learn how to handle your gun properly and safely, teach your children and spouse to respect it. If you have bought a gun for in-home or personal protection, please sign up for training. It is incumbent upon each of us to be as safe and proficient as possible. Responsible gun ownership takes knowledge and training. 

When looking for a name for our business, we researched all kinds of Roman and Greek goddesses. We finally settled on Nerio who was an ancient war goddess and the personification of valor. She was the partner of Mars in ancient cult practices, and was sometimes identified with the goddess Bellona, and occasionally with the goddess Minerva (thank you, Google). Warrior, Valor, and Honor are the maxims of Nerio Firearms Training. We want you to become an honorable warrior in protecting your life and the lives of your loved ones. Ready to fight if the need arises, but always with honor and integrity.
